After market Parts In Canada
« on: September 29, 2009, 02:34:15 PM »

Just curious about where people are getting their parts from.  I was about to buy the OME set-up from Toytec but the shipping was $450!  Then someone pointed me toward NSOR.com out of BC.  Same set-up will be less then $50 to ship.  Anyone deal with this company before?

AK47 from TW gave me the heads up.  I gave the guy a call and they carry OME.....So today after work I am going to hook myself up with a 3" lift.  However they only carry TC UCAs and he is not sure how it would hold up in a cold climate like Kenora so I my get a light racing UCA elsewhere.

I have never dealt with NSOR (North Shore Off Road) personally before, but I have a few friends who have. A good bunch of guys over there, you should not have any problems (but don't quote me on it). Based in North Vancouver, BC.

Just to give you guys an update.  I decided to go through Toytec to get the OME 3" lift.  It was only going to be $200 less to buy everything in Canada, but I was going to have to get peices from 3 different companies to get the kit I wanted.  SO to keep it simple I stayed with Toytec to get it all in a one shot deal.

Congrat's on the lift! OME makes good stuff. I went with the Light Racing UCA's because they had a sealed type ball joint similar to the OEM one. I haven't had any issues with them and they are quiet as can be. Can't wait to see your ride jacked with that lift Nick!

Yeah I seem to be running into that issue as well. I have been to a few of the local shops, and there does not seem to be one that carries everything I want to get. It's kind of disappointing.

Just recieved my fees for having the Toytec lift sent to me.  $230!!!!!!!!  So for those of you near a border, GO GET A PO BOX.  With these kind of fees I will be getting on in the spring and it will be a 2 hour drive for me.

wow thats crazy, you should try and fight those fees, I dont see how ups can get away with that, no other shipping company charges that much

Those fees are definitely not the bee's knees. I requested Toytec ship USPS and they did no questions asked. For the Ultimate Lift Kit it ended up being $160 which is a heck of a lot less than $230!!! When buying online from the states I usually decide who to buy from by whether or not they ship USPS. Fedex, UPS, DHL all charge extra fees over and above the actual shipping cost, taxes and duty.
